SANSKRIT SHIKSHAN PRASHIKSHAN EVAM GYAN VIGYAN SAMVARDHAN KENDRA

Sanskrit Shikshan Prashikshan Evam Gyan Vigyan Samvardhan Kendra was established by the State University in the year 2008. The main purpose of establishing this department was the propagation of Sanskrit language to common masses. The Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya was working at its level to impart the knowledge of Sanskrit to the students. However, gradually it was realized that formal education is not sufficient. More efforts have to be made for the propagation of Sanskrit language. Therefore, a new center was opened. This center holds different programs and activities which takes Sanskrit language to the people in society.

The center has its office in Ujjain and its working area is throughout Madhya Pradesh. The sole motto of establishing this center was to make people familiar to Sanskrit language in the society. Only then the target of Maharshi Maharshi Panini Sanskrit Evam Vedic Vishwavidyalaya can be accomplished.

Objectives

1. Sanskrit Education through Sanskrit Language.
Today Sanskrit students are not able to understand high level Shastri syllabus just because they lack fluency in Sanskrit language. Therefore, long term exposure to Sanskrit language is the only solution of teaching Sanskrit to students. Teaching Sanskrit through Sanskrit language is the only aim of Sanskrit teaching training knowledge and science promotion centre.


2. Teachers Training
Our University has a special teachers training knowledge and science promotion centre so that more and more teachers learn Sanskrit language efficiently. The University has established this centre so that the propagation of Sanskrit language becomes easier.


3. Regular Revision of Sanskrit Syllabus
There is a regular revision of Sanskrit syllabus so that there is an improvement in language skills of students. Focus is given on contemporary writing practices. The colleges and universities organize activities to involve more and more students.
New course should be launched in Sanskrit language to make it more popular. This will enable students to learn Sanskrit and provide better employment opportunities.


4. Plan to Study the Shastra
According to this scheme traditional scholars are appointed to teach the Shastras. They train the teachers, the effective ways of learning and training.


5. Translation of Literatures in Sanskrit
Study material of any kind from science arts, literature and commerce should be translated into Sanskrit and printed electronically so that students learn Sanskrit in a better way.


6. Publication and Editing of Manuscripts
Manuscripts are the rich store houses of literature. They are not only literarily important but also important from the point of view of research. Study of manuscripts is very important in today's modern world. Therefore, scholars of Sanskrit who are having profound knowledge of Sanskrit should be given the task of editing the Manuscripts.

7. Digital and Online Program
All the Sanskrit literature and related information should be available in digital format. In addition to all these, syllabus should be developed for study at different levels. In this way several need based syllabuses can be developed. The availability of such kind of syllabus will enable the teachers as well as students to use them in their teaching. Our center is trying to execute this plan as soon as possible.


8. Summer Vacation Study Program
Students are keen to study the various branches of Sanskrit. Therefore summer vacation program proves out to be very fruitful to them as they learn more language in less time. A separate syllabus can be prepared for teaching in such school.


9. Evening School
Students can learn Sanskrit regularly during their evening time. People who have not learnt Sanskrit during their school time but desire to do so are welcomed in evening school. In this way we can boost the learning of Sanskrit language skills.


10. People Contact Programme
Schools and colleges should organize short term Sanskrit courses which will enable people to learn Sanskrit language.


11. Sanskrit Dictionary
Sanskrit language itself is rich in vocabulary. It has the capacity of building more and more words. However, Sanskrit language lacks new words which can be used in day to day life. Scholars therefore should try to organize a Sanskrit dictionary which can be used by people of different languages.


12. Publication of Rare Books
There are many Sanskrit books which were published before independence era. Most of the publications have now being closed. Therefore, scholars should take help either from any government faculty or any other institute to reprint this rich sources of knowledge.


13. Children Literature
Simple Sanskrit words should be used in general children literature so that they can learn Sanskrit language from their childhood.


14. Sanskrit Teaching through Yoga
Yoga can be the best medium to study Sanskrit language and Sanskars. The center can prepare educational syllabus to study Sanskrit through yoga.


15. Learning Sanskrit Language through Ayurveda
Ayurveda contains rich reservoir of Sanskrit language. Sanskrit can be studied from the Ayurvedas. Therefore such syllabus should be prepared which aims at Sanskrit language learning.
